Death of Osama Bin Laden There was celebration in the United States

WASHINGTON / NEW YORK (Reuters) - Thousands of people lined the streets near the White House and in New York early on Monday by waving U.S. flags, chanting and honking their horns to celebrate the death of Osama bin Laden.

Nearly ten years after the attacks of September 11, 2001 in New Yorkand Washington that killed about 3,000 people, the Americans saw thedeath of the architect of the plan as a reason to celebrate and close acycle. For many it was a historic and long awaited.



"I never imagined I'd be excited about someone's death. it took tohappen, " said firefighter Michael Carroll, 27, whose firefighter fatheralso died on the attacks in New York. "It's finally here ... it's a goodfeeling. "
